Jao Tsung-I Academy|A Summer Promise • Ink Romance: Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition
Description
Exhibition Express | 'A Summer Promise • Ink Romance -- Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition' will be held at the Jao Tsung-I Academy, Hong Kong, from 6 to 8 May.
Amidst the scorching sun and lush greenery of summer, the Jao Tsung-I Academy, Hong Kong, quietly unveils an encounter of ink rhythms and emotions. The 'A Summer Promise • Ink Romance' exhibition brings together the painstaking works of nine artists, including Zhan Zhongxiao, Ye Zhihua, Chen Xiaqing, Zheng Jianhong, Yao Ming, Zheng Xubin, Ou Jinhua, Zheng Xiaoyan, and Ye Jingyi, like an unfolding artistic scroll, leading us to appreciate the unique charm of the world of painting and calligraphy.
Summer is the most vibrant season, with sunshine splashing freely and all things growing vigorously. Just like the artists' passion for creation, which peaks in this season. They wield their brushes like swords and ink like blades, galloping freely on Xuan paper, transforming their inner emotions and life insights into vivid paintings and calligraphy works.
Zheng Jianhong's calligraphy works may bring a cool breeze in the summer, bringing a sense of calm; Zhan Zhongxiao's line drawings may resemble a fiery passion under the blazing sun, full of enthusiasm and strength. Ye Zhihua, Chen Xiaqing, Yao Ming, and other artists also present their unique styles, either delicate and graceful or grand and majestic, collectively creating this artistic feast.
Each painting and calligraphy work is a dialogue between the artists and the vibrant summer, expressing their admiration for nature and love for life through their ink rhythms. Here, we can witness the vibrant flora of summer and sense the flow and sedimentation of time.
Stepping into this exhibition is like entering a world filled with poetry and fantasy. Let's engage in a conversation with these artists this summer, embracing the unique charm of ink romance.
